Passing of Former SCCEMS Board Chairman Joseph D. Goss

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Joseph D. Goss. Joe passed away yesterday afternoon at Union Hospital after a long illness. Joe served as the Chairman of the SCCEMS Board of Directors from 1987-1990. Southern Chester County EMS placed into service a 2018 Ford Explorer Paramedic responder unit yesterday. The new vehicle will be assigned to our Avondale station and be designated MEDIC 942. The chassis was purchased under state contract from New Holland Ford and converted by 10-8 EVS also of New Holland. The vehicle was lettered by Fitch Graphics.
